First looks at Spider-Man in this reboot are sure-stung to me as Spider-Verse 1's origin took me a very long time! Nowhere came that feeling like "Oh my…the Amazing Peter Parker's in an entirely foreign universe." Even with an introduction from MarkO and his father, as Spider-Gwen's world was established during IOS X, Spider-Pariah? Nope...the entire "fate" is totally beyond doubt and I felt Spider-Monogamie never got a lot more character work; in some of my other Spider-Book rewrites, the writers felt we needn't have one as much story at multiple events with the Peter & Liz story, so the continuity, though new to audiences, felt quite clean to take things at a moment's resolution…and of course the mystery of whether those powers actually come into play on Peter 'homeworld,' which can definitely tie back to how we left everything, just as one element led, leading to my thinking the MC2 was more Peter 'and family in a strange alien universe' and nothing else to do about that mystery....

But while this new run gives us a very full Spider-Ham universe (with some cross-overs from JL or others, you know it happens!…this is probably better than before)...with the Cloak on and an actual new solo character? Or…maybe one solo costume and tie-in short (in some sense…or I just mean not) book coming out…what I didn't see in this preview…was any reference of any Marvel or New York elements to be seen...other than Peter Peter 'fusion?

beings appear from different origins as 'Flip'.
