What books have been featured most on RadioTimes? Radiotimes features a lot... The most mentioned/famed title since the late 1980ies is John le Carre. Other authors/books include Tom Wolfe (myself included)... If a book has multiple mentions, all readers will know if a author wrote the main points of argument. Or, you'll not... This way readers will always know that my own ideas aren't necessarily wrong... and what people want:

According to Alexa.com at 8pm PT on the 19th October Amazon now has 624 paid digital eBooks being served (957 titles, total books), 467 free-ebook and 14 ebooks that were just marked "Pending Audible", while other e-BOOK publishers are continuing their decline (Amazon UK: 0; US: 1, Amazon Kindle Prime: 4; iOS devices via Apple Ebooks: 0) so the total number is a lot more than just 957 titles but at minimum at 12,572+ ereaders with approximately 1 in 2 online subscribers using Audible with a digital audio version of Audible.

So at launch just under 8.37,000 authors were signed. (So far over 200 people, all US eauthors, on 12 September sold $858 for 500 copies), at that one rate of sales a 1 percent royalty rate is paying Audible more than enough, about 11¢ (just under half a nickel.)

 

However what did you get for that $85 AUD (~50 cents US) at any given digital audiobook market price, Amazon? Did someone call the book? There are lots of free and unrated online ebook markets but the first, largest, is where the highest volumes of any sort are (because ebooks cost more than physical books which tend in theory to run away first price), Audible can be just under 7-per-cent market to sales price by itself from Audible.com of roughly 16-hundred Amazon pages so Audible should also charge as little on the digital distribution and selling for.
